Fighting Nightmares

We always think of dreams as being wonderful places, as being some kind of paradise full of joy. But there are also dreams not so enjoyable, in fact studies upon dreams verify that almost 75% of dream’s content are negative emotions or situations. Some suggest that dreams are a way to consolidate memories or experience, as well as a way of learning about the personal experienced events. In some recurrent nightmares such as a free fall or tooth loss the lucid dreamer has the opportunity to reverse this events. For example, in the case of a free fall, a lucid dreamer can make up a hand-glider, transforming the experience from anguish to freedom. That helps to unconsciously have more confidence when facing the problem that causes that nightmare in real life.
